Getting to Le Chazelet - La Grave
Travel options
- By Road: La Grave is on Route National N91 being 75km east of Grenoble and 35km west of Briancon via the Col du Lautaret. Grenoble is well accessed via Peage Motorways from Lyon to the northwest and Geneva/Annecy to the north. Briancon can be reached by motorway from Turin.
Le Chazelet is 5km from La Grave (and 400m higher up the mountainside).
- By Train/Bus: Grenoble can be reached on the highspeed TGV train from Paris in around 3hrs. From Grenoble there are links to La Grave by VFD bus 35 or to Bourg D'Oisans on TransIsere buses 3000 or 3030 (from where a pick up can be arranged).
- By Air: The nearest airport is Grenoble-St Geoirs from where a short transfer can be taken to Grenoble and onwards by bus. However Lyon, Chambery, Turin and Geneva airports are all within reach.
Cheap flights are available year round with Ryanair, Easyjet and other operators. In winter the choice of UK departure is larger in order to serve the numerous alpine ski centres.
